Guard Your Heart

“Above all else, guard your heart,
    for everything you do flows from it.”

NIV Proverbs 4:23; KJV Proverbs 4:23

Read Proverbs 4

It’s not an easy job to guard your heart nowadays. We are surrounded by things that easily can poison us spiritually and physically. We all know what those are. So, let’s keep our eyes on the Lord. He is a source of Purity and Hope. We will ask Him for help, we will ask Him to strengthen us, and to remove all that doesn’t belong in our hearts. Let’s fill our hearts with Jesus, so love, compassion, peace and justice can flow out into the broken world.

The Door of My Lips

“3 Set a guard over my mouth, Lord;
    keep watch over the door of my lips.
  4 Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil
    so that I take part in wicked deeds
  along with those who are evildoers;
    do not let me eat their delicacies.”

NIV Psalm 141:3-4; KJV Psalm 141:3-4

Think about your words. Are they good and supportive or are they discouraging and bitter? Words can hurt. Watch what you say.  Let God direct your thoughts and your speech. Speak Love and Truth.

Search me, O God

“23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

KJV Psalm 139:23-24; NIV Psalm 139:23-24

Let God search your heart. Let Him remove all that doesn’t belong there. Hate, fear, anger, bitterness, envy don’t belong in your heart. Keep your heart pure and lifted up. God will fill it with His Love and the Spirit of Truth. ♥

“As water reflects the face,
    so one’s life reflects the heart.”

NIV Proverbs 27:19; KJV Proverbs 27:19

Content life – content heart. Life filled with troubles – heart filled with troubles. Clean up your heart! How? Believe in God. Pray. Seek answers. He answers to those who love Him and trust Him. Ask for His will in your life. He will make it even better than you have ever thought it could be. TRUST GOD.

A Cheerful Heart

“A cheerful heart is good medicine,
  but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

NIV Proverbs 17:22; KJV Proverbs 17:22

Keep your heart cheerful. Do things you love. Enjoy small moments. Make memories. Don’t hold grudges. Forgive. Let go of pride, anger, envy. Those will eat away your heart and make you sick. Let Jesus handle your troubles; give it all to Him. He WILL heal your heart.

A Pure Heart?

“3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”

KJV Psalm 24:3-4; NIV Psalm 24:3-4

Are our hands clean? Is our heart pure? Do we lift up our eyes to God or to idols? Do we love our neighbors as ourselves? Are we a blessing, or are we a hindrance? Let the garbage out and let the Love in! Let the King of Glory come in!
