My soul is weary with sorrow

“My soul is weary with sorrow;
    strengthen me according to your word.

NIV Psalm 119:28; KJV Psalm 119:28

Sadness and tears have overtaken me. I cry out the the Lord “Save me o Lord, deliver me”. My human frailty annoys me. I cry out the the Lord “Make me wise o Lord, make me strong”. I wept and drowned in my own sorrow. I cried out to the Lord “Lift up my spirits o Lord, help me defend myself from myself.”

“You number my wanderings;
Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book?”

NJKV Psalm 56:8; NIV Psalm 56:8

Have you ever cried yourself to sleep? Have you ever wondered how much longer until your troubles end? I have. My friend, just as God knows every hair on our head, so He knows every tear that we’ve cried too. He wouldn’t give us anything that we couldn’t handle. He is strengthening us, He is shaping us to fit His mold. We are much stronger than we think we are. GOD IS FOR US! Those who sow in tears, will reap in joy!

A Cheerful Heart

“A cheerful heart is good medicine,
  but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

NIV Proverbs 17:22; KJV Proverbs 17:22

Keep your heart cheerful. Do things you love. Enjoy small moments. Make memories. Don’t hold grudges. Forgive. Let go of pride, anger, envy. Those will eat away your heart and make you sick. Let Jesus handle your troubles; give it all to Him. He WILL heal your heart.
