Letting God take control

Read 1 Samuel 3

“So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, “He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.”

NIV 1 Samuel 3:18; KJV 1 Samuel 3:18

all You want me to be

I’ll be all You

Want me to be,

I’ll try to be

Even more.

It is not easy,

To let go of ‘I’

And that’s what

I’m aiming for.

A lot of help

I will need,

And Your support

Along the way.

Be with me and

Make me strong,

I will continue

To pray.

Let us return to the Lord

“Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord.”

NIV Lamentations 3:40; KJV Lamentations 3:40

In times when I didn’t know God, I went through hard times and trials and it was so difficult to bear it all. I was breaking under the weight of problems and constant worries, many nights I cried myself to sleep and didn’t have much hope for the next day, much less for the future. I felt left alone and desperate until I found Jesus. Everything turned around for the better from that point on. It didn’t happen over night, but as I learned to trust God and pray and seek His will for my life, it made an enormous difference. This is my humble call to all of you out there who are struggling in any way. Examine your ways. Examine your heart. Is there something missing? Seek God. Invite Him into your heart, give it all to Him. Return to Him. You will feel the change in your spirit and in your heart. It will be joyous, uplifting and GOOD!

My Lord is always before me

“I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

NIV Psalm 16:8; KJV Psalm 16:8

Read Psalm 16

We are the beginning of a New Year yet again. This is the time when resolutions and goals are made and everyone is filled with hope that this year will be good, fruitful and perhaps better than the previous one. Surely this year will bring good things our way, but there will be challenges, disappointments and trials of all sorts. That is why we have to always set the Lord before us. He is our strength, our rock, our solid ground. With Him at our right hand, we’ll make it through what ever may come our way!

The Lord disciplines the one He loves

“5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,
 “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline,
    and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
  6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
    and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”

NIV Hebrews 12:5-6; KJV Hebrews 12:5-6

We all go through hard times, but everyone reacts differently. When I didn’t know Jesus I would worry and fret, and I would just feel down and hopeless. When Jesus entered my life all that has changed. It’s not that I stopped having hard times and struggles, they are still here at times. It is my whole attitude and my outlook that has changed. I now have hope and I know that the struggles are temporary, for my Lord will get me through it and it the process he will teach me a valuable lesson. Dear friend, do not forget that Lord is ever with you! If he disciplines you, it is because He loves you more than words can express. ♥

The ones HE loves

We May Stumble…

“24 The Lord makes firm the steps
    of the one who delights in him;
24 though he may stumble, he will not fall,
    for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”

NIV Psalm 37:23-24; KJV Psalm 37:23-24

It’s a new day, a new week and a new opportunity to do good, to be happy, to embrace life and all that Lord has planned for us. Hold your head up high, rejoice and delight in the Lord, for He is the one who directs our steps. Yes, we may encounter unpleasant people and situations. Yes, we may stumble, but we will not fall,  for the Lord takes care of us every second of our lives.

we will not fall

The Lord is my refuge

“9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
    and you make the Most High your dwelling,
 10 no harm will overtake you,
    no disaster will come near your tent.
 11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
 12 they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

NIV Psalm 91:9-12; KJV Psalm 91:9-12

This earthly life can be pretty hard if you’re on your own. On your own, without God and His divine guidance and protection. Trust Him. Let your heart be His dwelling place. Lord promises to take care of those who love Him. He will protect you, He will even send His angels in the time of need to be by your side. How great is His LOVE for you my friend!!!

Love and Protection

Turn, Lord and deliver me

“Turn, Lord, and deliver me;
    save me because of your unfailing love.”

NIV Psalm 6:4; KJV Psalm 6:4

When the dark clouds cover my horizon, who do I turn to? When the enemy knocks at the door of my soul, who do I turn to? When I’m desperate in my human weakness, who do I turn to? I turn to the Lord, mighty and strong. He knows my heart and He knows my troubles.  He is my Light in the time of darkness. I cry out to the Lord: “Deliver me Lord, save me because of Your unfailing Love.”

Your Love

“4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails”

NIV 1 Corinthians 13:4-8; KJV 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Thank You God for your unconditional and unfailing Love. Thank You for loving me much more than I deserve. Thank You for being with me in my troubles and my good days. People have failed me Lord, but You never did. Your faithfulness is great and comforting. I will lift up my eyes to You as long as I live. I will seek You. I will conform to Your laws Lord. I will be the person that You want me to be. Thank you for loving me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

His Love Endures Forever

“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.”

NIV Psalm 100:5; KJV Psalm 100:5

Rejoice and be glad in the Lord. Embrace this day. Make it good. Make it worthy. You are covered by HIS unfailing Love. Every day of your life He is in you and you are in Him. He will uphold you. He will shine His Light into your life. HE LOVES YOU FOREVER.

Psalm 100

His Love Endures Forever

No One Cares For My Life

“3 When my spirit grows faint within me,
    it is You who watch over my way.
 In the path where I walk
    people have hidden a snare for me.
 4 Look and see, there is no one at my right hand;
    no one is concerned for me.
 I have no refuge;
    no one cares for my life.
 5 I cry to you, Lord;
    I say, “You are my refuge,
    my portion in the land of the living.”

NIV Psalm 142:3-5; KJV Psalm 142:3-5

When troubles arise in our life, who do we turn to? Who will wipe away our tears? Who lifts up our spirit? The Lord mighty and strong! He is our refuge in times of troubles and doubts. Reach out to the Lord. Call on His Name. Seek His help. His Love surrounds us every day of our lives.
