I seek You will all my heart

“10 I seek you with all my heart;
    do not let me stray from your commands.
  11 I have hidden your word in my heart
    that I might not sin against you.”

NIV Psalm 119:10-11; KJV Psalm 119:10-11

Read Psalm 119

Lord, I need you and I seek you every day. When I am happy I seek you, even more when I am sad. When everything goes smoothly I need you, but even more when things go wrong. Be with me Lord, that’s my prayer today and be with all who trust in You and all who seek You and all who are still not aware of You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Guard Your Heart

“Above all else, guard your heart,
    for everything you do flows from it.”

NIV Proverbs 4:23; KJV Proverbs 4:23

Read Proverbs 4

It’s not an easy job to guard your heart nowadays. We are surrounded by things that easily can poison us spiritually and physically. We all know what those are. So, let’s keep our eyes on the Lord. He is a source of Purity and Hope. We will ask Him for help, we will ask Him to strengthen us, and to remove all that doesn’t belong in our hearts. Let’s fill our hearts with Jesus, so love, compassion, peace and justice can flow out into the broken world.

The Lord knows all human plans

“8 Take notice, you senseless ones among the people;
    you fools, when will you become wise?
 9 Does he who fashioned the ear not hear?
    Does he who formed the eye not see?
 10 Does he who disciplines nations not punish?
    Does he who teaches mankind lack knowledge?
 11 The Lord knows all human plans;
    he knows that they are futile.”

NIV Psalm 94:8-11; KJV Psalm 94:8-11

How can we ever think that anything can be hidden from God? Our every thought, be it good or be it evil, He knows. Will we ever learn that God is omnipresent and omnipotent? How can we ever hope that He who created our inmost being, will not see our selfishness, will not hear our curses, will not examine our hearts? Lord, clean up our hearts! Remove all that’s not from You Lord, make them pure and fill them with You, until all we think, all we say and all we do is Love.

Lean Not On Your Own Understanding

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;”

NIV Proverbs 3:5; KJV Proverbs 3:5

We often find it hard not to lean on our own understanding. We think we are so smart, so wise and we are such good decision makers. We try really hard to be independent and do our own thing, just to find ourselves in all sorts of difficulties. We need to understand that we can not be independent; not from The One who created us. He wants us to depend on Him, to trust Him, to seek His presence and His Love. Apart from Him we can’t make it in this world, we can’t have a purposeful life, filled with joy and happiness. In all things, let’s first seek God, seek His wisdom, His will. He understands our purpose much better than we do.

If I don’t have Love

“1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”

NIV 1 Corinthians 13:1-3; KJV 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Find Love in your heart. Don’t let it leave you. Carry it with you wherever you go. Speak it whenever you can. Let all your actions be guided by Love. You can be smart, successful and talented, but if you don’t have love it’s all not worth it. None of it. Use your gifts and let the Love lead you.

The Door of My Lips

“3 Set a guard over my mouth, Lord;
    keep watch over the door of my lips.
  4 Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil
    so that I take part in wicked deeds
  along with those who are evildoers;
    do not let me eat their delicacies.”

NIV Psalm 141:3-4; KJV Psalm 141:3-4

Think about your words. Are they good and supportive or are they discouraging and bitter? Words can hurt. Watch what you say.  Let God direct your thoughts and your speech. Speak Love and Truth.

Search me, O God

“23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

KJV Psalm 139:23-24; NIV Psalm 139:23-24

Let God search your heart. Let Him remove all that doesn’t belong there. Hate, fear, anger, bitterness, envy don’t belong in your heart. Keep your heart pure and lifted up. God will fill it with His Love and the Spirit of Truth. ♥

“As water reflects the face,
    so one’s life reflects the heart.”

NIV Proverbs 27:19; KJV Proverbs 27:19

Content life – content heart. Life filled with troubles – heart filled with troubles. Clean up your heart! How? Believe in God. Pray. Seek answers. He answers to those who love Him and trust Him. Ask for His will in your life. He will make it even better than you have ever thought it could be. TRUST GOD.

A Cheerful Heart

“A cheerful heart is good medicine,
  but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

NIV Proverbs 17:22; KJV Proverbs 17:22

Keep your heart cheerful. Do things you love. Enjoy small moments. Make memories. Don’t hold grudges. Forgive. Let go of pride, anger, envy. Those will eat away your heart and make you sick. Let Jesus handle your troubles; give it all to Him. He WILL heal your heart.

Mercy and Truth

“3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man”

NJKV Proverbs 3:3-4; KJV Proverbs 3:3-4

Find mercy in your heart. A merciful heart is a forgiving heart; it’s a heart of compassion. Speak truth. In this time of deception, truth is all we have. Write them on the tablet of your heart!
