Guard Your Heart

“Above all else, guard your heart,
    for everything you do flows from it.”

NIV Proverbs 4:23; KJV Proverbs 4:23

Read Proverbs 4

It’s not an easy job to guard your heart nowadays. We are surrounded by things that easily can poison us spiritually and physically. We all know what those are. So, let’s keep our eyes on the Lord. He is a source of Purity and Hope. We will ask Him for help, we will ask Him to strengthen us, and to remove all that doesn’t belong in our hearts. Let’s fill our hearts with Jesus, so love, compassion, peace and justice can flow out into the broken world.

Let us return to the Lord

“Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord.”

NIV Lamentations 3:40; KJV Lamentations 3:40

In times when I didn’t know God, I went through hard times and trials and it was so difficult to bear it all. I was breaking under the weight of problems and constant worries, many nights I cried myself to sleep and didn’t have much hope for the next day, much less for the future. I felt left alone and desperate until I found Jesus. Everything turned around for the better from that point on. It didn’t happen over night, but as I learned to trust God and pray and seek His will for my life, it made an enormous difference. This is my humble call to all of you out there who are struggling in any way. Examine your ways. Examine your heart. Is there something missing? Seek God. Invite Him into your heart, give it all to Him. Return to Him. You will feel the change in your spirit and in your heart. It will be joyous, uplifting and GOOD!

I am doing a new thing!

“18 Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.
  19 See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
   I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.”

NIV Isaiah 43:18-19; KJV Isaiah 43:18-19

Read Isaiah 43

In above verses we are told not to dwell on the past; a perfect advice for the beginning of a New Year! We might have gone through trials, we might have done or said things that we are not proud of, we might have regrets and “what if” thoughts, but time can’t be turned back. So, leave the past behind and move on. This is a perfect time to start a new! Do a new thing! Lord says He is making a way in the wilderness and he is making streams in the wasteland. Turn a new leaf in the book of your life! Love yourself. Love people. Be a friend. Be supportive. Be a listener. Be a giver. Practice kindness and compassion. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s impossible. You might just be the person who will start the change in the world and the domino effect. Do a new thing! ♥

Let Us Love With Actions

“18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

NIV 1 John 3:18; KJV 1 John 3:18

Love is an action, not an emotion. Love is a verb. Love does great things. Love acts. Love helps. Love appreciates. Love is there for you. Love listens. Love understands. Love and Truth go hand in hand. Let us love one another with actions and in truth.

We May Stumble…

“24 The Lord makes firm the steps
    of the one who delights in him;
24 though he may stumble, he will not fall,
    for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”

NIV Psalm 37:23-24; KJV Psalm 37:23-24

It’s a new day, a new week and a new opportunity to do good, to be happy, to embrace life and all that Lord has planned for us. Hold your head up high, rejoice and delight in the Lord, for He is the one who directs our steps. Yes, we may encounter unpleasant people and situations. Yes, we may stumble, but we will not fall,  for the Lord takes care of us every second of our lives.

Read Psalm 37

we will not fall

His Love Endures Forever

“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.”

NIV Psalm 100:5; KJV Psalm 100:5

Rejoice and be glad in the Lord. Embrace this day. Make it good. Make it worthy. You are covered by HIS unfailing Love. Every day of your life He is in you and you are in Him. He will uphold you. He will shine His Light into your life. HE LOVES YOU FOREVER.

Psalm 100

His Love Endures Forever

Ask and Do Not Doubt

“5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.”

NIV James 1:5-7; KJV James 1:5-7

God is generous. He answers our prayers. He IS with us through ALL our trials. Trust Him! Don’t let doubt enter your heart. Doubt is the enemy’s tool to keep us away from God. Where there is doubt, there is no faith – plain and simple. God is ever present, all knowing, all powerful. There is nothing in this world, NOTHING,  that can be compared to His Might and His Love. How could we ever doubt HIM?!

Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God

“33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

KJV Matthew 6:33-34; NIV Matthew 6:33-34

I believe.  Why do I have to worry? I am taken care of, for I am in Christ. My paths are straight. My burden is light. My future is bright. My Lord is with me every day of my life. I do not worry about tomorrow.

Living Water

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”

KJV John 4:14; NIV John 4:14

Does the water we drink quench our thirst or does it just go in and out? Is it polluted or is it clean? Is it purified? Does it come from a spring? Let’s drink from the Source that never dries out!

A Happy Heart

” A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit”  (NIV Proverbs 15:13); KJV Proverbs 15:13

A HAPPY HEART: Spend time with family. Spend time with friends. Forgive. Laugh. Spend time with nature. Walk. Do things you love. Leave work at work. Help a stranger. Give time. Give love. Smile. Simplify. Be humble.
