To love our enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

NIV Matthew 5:43-45; KJV Matthew 5:43-45

It is hard to love those who persecute us, those who wish us not well, those who put us down or work against us… It is very hard. In our weak human nature we tend to do just the same to them as they do to us. But, having our hearts in Christ and having of His spirit changes how we see our enemies. If we truly are the followers of Jesus Christ we will love and pray for our enemies, and that is what sets us apart from the rest and makes us children of our Father in heaven who’s love knows no limits.

I seek You will all my heart

“10 I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.”

NIV Psalm 119:10-11; KJV Psalm 119:10-11

Read Psalm 119

Lord, I need you and I seek you every day. When I am happy I seek you, even more when I am sad. When everything goes smoothly I need you, but even more when things go wrong. Be with me Lord, that’s my prayer today and be with all who trust in You and all who seek You and all who are still not aware of You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

We are called to be free

“13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.”

NIV Galatians 5:13-16; KJV Galatians 5:13-16

Read Galatians 5

Yes, we are called to be free, but we enslave and imprison our selves with a way of life we think it’s right, with the clothes we think we should wear, with the car we think we should drive, with the amount of success we think we need to be happy.  And God forbid, we fail to achieve what we think is right, the whole world falls apart and we become desperate and broken. We are the inmates in our very own prisons. But, there is hope! We are called to be free and the only way to be truly free is to be free in Jesus, to love one another, to let go of our selfish wants and desires, to let Jesus direct our paths and to fully trust that His plans for us are much better than our own.

Guard Your Heart

“Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.”

NIV Proverbs 4:23; KJV Proverbs 4:23

Read Proverbs 4

It’s not an easy job to guard your heart nowadays. We are surrounded by things that easily can poison us spiritually and physically. We all know what those are. So, let’s keep our eyes on the Lord. He is a source of Purity and Hope. We will ask Him for help, we will ask Him to strengthen us, and to remove all that doesn’t belong in our hearts. Let’s fill our hearts with Jesus, so love, compassion, peace and justice can flow out into the broken world.

A Morning Prayer

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

NIV Philippians 4:6; KJV Philippians 4:6

LORD, let me see people through your eyes. Let my words and actions seek to uplift others whose load may be heavy and hard to carry today. Let Your Love shine through me today and always. Thanks for blessing me LORD, so I can be a blessing to others. In Jesus name i pray. Amen.

Letting God take control

Read 1 Samuel 3

“So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, “He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.”

NIV 1 Samuel 3:18; KJV 1 Samuel 3:18

all You want me to be

I’ll be all You

Want me to be,

I’ll try to be

Even more.

It is not easy,

To let go of ‘I’

And that’s what

I’m aiming for.

A lot of help

I will need,

And Your support

Along the way.

Be with me and

Make me strong,

I will continue

To pray.

My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord

” My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.
Let every creature praise his holy name
    for ever and ever.”

NIV Psalm 145:21; KJV Psalm 145:21

Read Psalm 145

I WILL PRAISE MY LORD

I will praise my Lord,

I will praise His Holy Name.

I will shout at the top of my voice:

My Lord is my rock.

I will praise my God,

I will praise His Love and Compassion.

I will proclaim to the world:

My God is my solid ground.

I will praise my Deliverer,

I will praise His Mercy and Grace.

I will sing all of my days:

My God is my loving Savior.

Lord I will praise Your Name

Eternal Life

“23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

NIV Romans 6:23

I am a sinner just like you and in a perfect and pure presence of God Our Creator, there is no place for sin. Where the light rules, there is no place for darkness. To be able to get rid of our darkness and eternally dwell in light, we need help. Divine help. We can’t do it on our own. We can be good, we can be kind, we can be loving, still there is a nature to us that is not perfect and not pure. Despite that, God LOVES US! He is merciful. He is just. He is good. Accept God’s gift today: Salvation and Eternal Life through Christ Jesus.

Be reconciled to God

“17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors,as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

NIV 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; KJV 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Through Jesus Christ, God reconciled us to himself not counting our sins against us. In this passage we are called to be Christ ambassadors, His messengers, His representatives. How can we be ambassadors of Christ? We are to love, because He loved. We are to be merciful, just and forgiving. We are to spread the message of His love and urge others to be reconciled to God. So, dear friend reading this post, if you wandered away from God, if you think you are not worthy of His love, if you have sinned and think you can’t be forgiven, if you have a hard time making it on your own please know that God wants you back. His love and grace are larger than we can ever explain with human words. Call on His name, invite Him into your heart today!

Let us return to the Lord

“Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord.”

NIV Lamentations 3:40; KJV Lamentations 3:40

In times when I didn’t know God, I went through hard times and trials and it was so difficult to bear it all. I was breaking under the weight of problems and constant worries, many nights I cried myself to sleep and didn’t have much hope for the next day, much less for the future. I felt left alone and desperate until I found Jesus. Everything turned around for the better from that point on. It didn’t happen over night, but as I learned to trust God and pray and seek His will for my life, it made an enormous difference. This is my humble call to all of you out there who are struggling in any way. Examine your ways. Examine your heart. Is there something missing? Seek God. Invite Him into your heart, give it all to Him. Return to Him. You will feel the change in your spirit and in your heart. It will be joyous, uplifting and GOOD!
